Have you ever gone to the beach on vacation and walked by the numerous henna tattoo shops?
You may have noticed that it is quite an expensive service! In your typical henna shop, one simple hand design could be up to $75 for about an hour of henna.
Want that henna with that summer vibe for a fraction of the cost right here in Pittsburgh? Stop by my booth in the front of the North Park Boathouse (check my blog for dates).
All About Henna:
Henna is a longer lasting form of temporary body art. It can last up to a month depending on how often the area is washed or roughly handled.
You should be aware that the henna will take much longer than a typical face painting session (unless whole face is done). A whole hand henna session can take around an hour depending on the level of detail. The henna I use is pure henna and all natural. It does not contain any harmful or toxic ingredients that you might find in other types of henna. *For your own safety you should always ask your henna artist what type of henna they use!
Please be aware that even after the henna application is complete you must be willing to allow the henna paste to dry and set on the skin for 1 hour before removing. After the henna paste is removed the area that the henna was on should NOT get wet for 6 additional hours. It will appear a light orange color initially but will darken after a period of time (around 8 hours) passes in which it reacts sufficiently with oxygen in the air.
